Until I figure out what I'm going to do with this Blog...

Every since the election ended I have felt kinda empty...kinda like I don't have much to say of great interest to anyone other then friends. At first it was just a nice little break...then the holidays came around....and now....I'm out of excuses and unmotivated! So we'll see if something strikes me....you never know. I feel bad just killing this blog so until I figure out where I want to go with this....I give you my daily internet activities. Better then nothing.

The Front Pages of History

In an effort to commemorate this momentous occasion I am trying to assemble as many front page images as I can.  I will add more as time allows....Please let me know if there are others I've missed that are worthy of posting.  Most of these are available for order as a keep sake from the respective newspaper's website.

Yes We Did!

We have just witnessed one of the most historical events of our lifetime. I am without words...

Congratulation President Elect Barack Obama!

Today We Make History!

It is so surreal to think that after all this time and all this energy, that today is the day. Today is the day we all get out to vote and make history! So Get out there and Vote!!! There's nothing else today that matters except for that. Do your duty as a citizen and make a difference!

Vote Yes for Obama!

And for you CA people...

Yes on 1A
Yes on 2
No on 4
Yes on 5
NO ON 8

Those are the big ones in my mind!

And please, if you have any problems whatsoever at your polling place, please let them know so they can fix it. Also make sure you document whatever problems you did have. That way if those bastards try and steal the election again we can provide evidence and stop them this time around.

Happy Voting!!!

Obama: The Closing Argument

So with only six days left, Obama went on network TV this evening and delivered his 30 minute informercial or closing argument as the case may be. Personally, I think it was very well done. The production quality was high and it was obvious that a lot of time and energy went into creating this video. Kudos to Obama's staff for such a ground breaking endeavor. It was far more effective then any of those 30 sec attack ads and light years ahead of anything McCain and the Pit Bull could create.
I'm pretty sure that those of us who are Obama supporters loved it and those who are McCain supporters loathed it. That's a no brainer! What I wonder though is what effect it might have on people who are "still on the fence." My gut tells me that it might just push enough people off the fence into Obama's yard to complete his landslide. It was just enough to give people confidence that they are not voting for some crazed, communist, muslim, terrorist loving heathen...or something like that.
McCain is now going to spend the next day or two fighting against coverage of this one 30 minute spot and it will be a losing battle. This effectively took out whatever little wind McCain had left in his sails. I would even hazard a guess that this "event" will even get it's own chapter when someone writes the book about how Obama won this election. A book based on a campaign that will be the road map for all political races for years to come. Obama continues to change the way a political campaign is run and tonight was simply the exclamation point on this historic race.
We are so close now that I can almost taste it. I think back to December/January when I first started to get really excited about Obama. I think about how far we've come....how many milestones have been crossed...how many obstacles have been removed. It is truly unbelievable that we have gotten this far with all that we have been up against. And it makes me proud to be able to say, I was there...I was a part of this great thing, no matter how small. It is truly amazing what people can do when they have a vision!
I know that I am getting a bit ahead of myself here and I am setting myself up for failure. But that's a chance I am willing to take right now because my confidence in the American people doing the right thing is high. I know that's a dangerous view to take, but for the first time in a long time, I have hope!

And as an added bonus, Obama also found the time to appear on the daily show:

Should the Ignorant and Intolerant be allowed to vote??? You decide!

Please watch this fat cow moo her way through this interview....

Now I have to admit that I had a decision to make before posting this....do I take the high road and be the one who is the tolerant one or do I allow my intellectual side take hold and blow a gasket as this goes against everything sane and rational in this election. Fuck it, what good is this blog if I'm going to be nice about things.
So here's my top ten list of ways to describe this women....

This women is:
1. Ignorant
2. Intolerant
3. A Moron
4. Arrogant
5. Hateful
6. Hypocritical
7. A Zealot
8. An Extremist
9. Delusional
10. And finally, this is the McCain/Palin base!

All I have to do is change the name of the list to ways to describe a terrorist and you can see that there's really not much difference between the two. The only difference is that this women probably wouldn't have the balls to blow herself up.

Now my question is this....should these people really be allowed to vote? No seriously. I know that voting is all inclusive and if we take away her rights then who's next. I understand all that, but really what do people like this bring to the table....not just to the voting booth but in life as well.

Let's take a look at a few things I find to be particularly interesting about what she says.

"What is the one most important issue to you?...The one who has he most faith in the lord."
Now for the sake of argument, let's give her a pass on the most absurd reason I have ever heard for voting for president. Let's talk about her assertion....who has the most faith in the lord. She knows this how? This would assume two things,
A) She knows both candidates very well and knows what their religious habits are
B) She know them so intimately that she has inner knowledge of their relationship with the lord
I am willing to hazard a guess that she can claim neither A or B. Thus this statement is absurd, misguided and her assumptions are most likely false. Surprise. So where exactly is she getting this information? From god himself? And if she truly thinks she is speaking to god and god is telling her that Obama is bad, then shouldn't she be locked up for reasons of insanity?

"What if you're going to vote against your husband interests as an American worker?....The Lord will take care of us."
Hmmmm, now I didn't see the whole interview, but from what I can gather the husband is struggling to make ends meet and is considering voting for Obama to save his ass and help his family get back on their feet. This women's response....fuck you pal, the lord knows who has more faith in him and has told me to vote for McCain. So I could care less about putting food on the table and having health insurance because the lord will take care of us....yeah, good luck with that. My advice to the husband, tell the fat cow to go fuck herself. You're probably not getting any anyway and even if you are I can't imagine it's any good. You know what's best for you and your family and I'm pretty sure you know the answer to that is to vote for Obama. So use your brain and don't let this women push you around. And Obama was wrong how when he said people vote with their religion and not what is in their best interest. Proof yet again that he was right on the money.

"I can't imagine having a president of the united states named President Obama."
Wow, just wow. I am racking my brain to figure out what his name has anything to do with anything after she just said the one who has the most faith in the lord. So even if Obama did happen to be the more "religious" one in her eyes, he's got a weird name so forget it. The small minded view point of people like this astound me on so many different levels that I am pretty much rendered speechless. And not only that, she is so smug and self righteous about it as well..."and I am not the only one!" Oh come on lady, now that's just dumb. And why does his name bother her....cause somehow his name is connected to the fact that his mother was an atheist and his father was a muslim and that should bother everyone....whoa wait, so if someone is named Barack Obama that automatically means that his parents are godless heathen freaks? What is this women smoking? No really, the large jumps of logic are mind boggling??

"So when Obama and his wife say, we're faith based, we're christians?.......The church they were members of, That's not the Christianity I know, that's not the Christianity that's in the bible"
*Smacking head against wall repeatedly*
So wait, her Christianity allows her to spew hatred at people's names and other religions, but somehow Obama's church is not the same Christianity. And she's been to his church right? Yeah I don't think so. This women is a hypocritical, judgmental bitch!! There I finally said what I've been thinking this whole time! Has this women even read the bible? Does she have any clue what she is talking about? Do you think she eats with her mouth closed or open? No, No and Open! This is my fundamental problem with fundamental christians who live in the middle of the country....they seem to think they know everything, they seem to feel like it's their job to preach to everyone, they seem to think they are better then everyone else and that somehow they are more Christian then everyone else! On top of all this they are arrogant, self-righteous and smug about it!!! Lady, give it up...you have ZERO idea of what you're talking about and I doubt your fat ass will even fit into the voting booth. Stop pretending to know what "the lord" wants!!! Just admit that this is what you "think" and maybe I wouldn't have a problem with it. But to blame this on her fictitious conversations with the person in her head is insanity. Pure and simple. She is convinced that god has lead her believe all this as the truth and has justified the hatred by trying to say, well Obama is a muslim and god doesn't like muslims!!

This truly makes my blood boil beyond belief.

So this goes back to my original question, should these people be allowed to vote. I say 100% NO!!! I say give everyone a short, easy test about the issues before they are allowed to vote and if they pass then they can vote. Sounds fair....no more of this blindly voting down party lines, or with your religion or because of race...no, if people can answer a few questions about the real issues and where the candidates stand then they can vote. Multiple choice is fine. This isn't a popularity contest, a high school election or a battle between who's god is the better god. This is serious business and I sometime wonder if people have forgotten what it is they are voting for....not for a preacher or american idol contestant, but the leader of the free world!

And while we're at it, the VP pick should be given a more lengthy, involved test before they are allowed to run. You know since we don't actually have any say in the VP pick. At least this would insure that all candidates are knowledgeable and capable. Because Mrs. Palin is really not any better then this women when she says things like, "I know at the end of the day putting this in God’s hands, the right thing for America will be done. I am confident God will do “the right thing for America” on Nov. 4” This kind of talk just justifies voting for the wrong reasons! And at this point in human history and evolution, I would hope to god(pun intended), that we have moved beyond that! However, if these people want to believe this crap, then they must accept that if Obama becomes president then it was god's will as well. No picking and choosing this time people. If Obama is picked President you have to accept that god wanted him to be President and that you were wrong. And none of this anti-christ shit. Just accept it and move one.
Oh please god pick Obama just to prove once and for all that these are not your people and you prefer those with a brain over those who blindly follow in your name. Amen

So, here's your chance to vote because everyone loves a good online poll!! Thxs

McCain Supporters: The Epic Fail

Quote of the Day as heard on Twitter: “The Republicans are the party that says government doesn't work and then they get elected and prove it.” -mikegehrke

That is probably the most concise, yet accurate quote I have heard about politics in a long time.

Someone needs to tell that to these people.....

More fun at McCain rallies!! I have to admit, Tito the Builder was cracking me up.....too bad he's not on our side! Shame I live in SoCal and McCain isn't going to come back here. I would love to go to one of these and just listen to these people spin out of control. You can sense that these people know full well that they are going to lose and they don't know what to do about it. So blame everyone and everything that pops into their minds even if they have no clue what they are talking about.

All this stuff used to really piss me off, but now I get it. Now I understand that these people don't actually believe this stuff! They are simply looking for a way to justify 8 years of Republican bliss coming to an abrupt end. Or maybe they're pissed that McCain has run a horrible campaign, picked the worst VP candidate in recent history and are looking for a good scape goat to excuse this epic fail. Maybe they are just scared that the godless, socialist, elite liberal black man is going to actually make this country better, proving yet again how misguided they are. Who knows what motivations stir beneath all this vitriol?

Secretly, I think they are all angry at Bush!

Some of them come to their senses and realize that Bush has fucked them good on this one, like the guy at the end of the video. Unfortunately, most of them still refuse to admit the fact that it is the failed policies of the Bush administration that has gotten them, and this country, into this predicament. No matter how obvious it is!! Because admitting that means admitting that they were wrong in the first place....not just once, but twice. Fool me once....Fool me twice...that's right bitches, shame on you! Perhaps you should have voted for McCain 8 years ago and all this might have been just a bad dream. But you didn't! So sorry your petty little minds were fooled into voting for the worst President ever. Guess you should have left your bibles and guns at home when you went to the voting booth 8 years ago. But now you have dug your own grave. You reap what you sow. That one bit you in the ass. Oh I could go on and on rubbing in it with bad idioms and puns, but why beat a dead horse!!!!! I guess I really shouldn't kick these poor people while their down! Ok Ok I'll stop!

I really hate being right, but like I've told various members of my family when discussing Bush.....I told you so.

I have to admit though, watching these people spin has become one of my new favorite things. It just puts a smile on my face listening to a republican desperately trying to convince me of something that they themselves aren't even convinced of and failing miserably! It will be a shame when Obama wins in a few weeks and these poor souls are left with the shattered remains of what could have been had it not been for that evil, liberal media or whatever the excuse of the day is at that point!!

Here's a little advice to the losing team: You all like to chant USA and preach about country first, well I suggest you start practicing what you preach. Real Americans take responsibility for their own actions, not point fingers at fictitious demons. In times like these, when America is failing and struggling to maintain, putting the country first means putting a stop to the hatred, the lies, the finger pointing and the petty bickering. Because honestly, it will take each and every one of us to clean up the mess that Bush is leaving behind and we don't have a moment to waste.
